Dae Andre was born in Brooklyn, New York, on August 30, 1997. He later moved to Ottawa, Ontario, where he was mostly raised. He is of Haitian descent. He grew up listening to every single style of music including Heavy Metal, R&B and Pop but, soon discovered he had a passion for Rap Music. In 2009 (at the age of 12), Dae Andre wrote and produced his first song entitled “Youth” and then made two more songs entitled “Live.Love.Life” and “Simply Amazing”, which were Anti-Bullying songs to go against the physical abuse he had gone through. In his freshman year in 2012, at Gisele-Lalonde Highschool, he started using drugs and became part of a Street Gang. There, he became the drug dealer formely known as (Young Dope or Young D.O.P). Conversely, in his junior year of high school (2014), he started going to church and getting involved. Unfortunately, he distanced himself from his family and went back to drugs and became an addict to DXM (Dextromethorphan). In 2016, after being signed to B.O.D.B Entertainment ‘Young D.O.P’ had an overdose, during the overdose he yelled in his spirit “Oh God, Oh God, Please come and help me” as described in his first single ‘Crowns & Halos‘. After that day he was no longer ‘Dae the Drug Dealer’ but Dae Andre the rapper. On May 5, 2016, Dae Andre was an official Christian Hip Hop Artist and created his version of Trap music, which he calls tRap (Truth Rapping). Dae Andre now belongs to the rap group “Throne Seekers” of the Campus Rush Music Collective.

Armed with an arsenal of passion, pain and a pen, Scribe is a vivid storyteller through the arts of Hip-Hop & Spoken Word. His sharp lyricism and bold presence give his audience a clear picture of the world through his eyes when he takes the stage. The Toronto native is one third of the Spoken Word collective ‘The Uncharted’ and an innovative Arts Educator/Youth Mentor. While performing for humble crowds of 20 in bars to upwards of 3000 opening for The Roots, the Emcee/Poet brings the same electric vibe to every show. As a performer, Scribe always leaves the place with more energy than when he stepped in. As a mentor, he invests time in aiding students in the process of discovering and developing their individual voices.

If I had tips for anyone out there pursuing their passion, it would be to humble themselves and find a mentor already doing what you want to be doing, or who is in a position to help you grow. I’ve worked under the guidance of two of the city’s best in Spoken Word (Dwayne Morgan & Patrick DeBelen) and all aspects of my artistic career have shown drastic improvement from when Patrick brought me out to my first poetry slam 4 years ago. To encourage anyone chasing their passions, as long as you are willing to sweat, cry & truly give your all to make a dream happen, it is possible. I am nowhere near my goals in terms of my artistry. I still work a part time job aggressively to pay my bills when gigs don’t pull in the money I need. That being said I am always putting in work, always ready to hop on a stage & do my thing, always practicing my craft and always making the sacrifices necessary to live a good life while pursuing my dream of being a full time artist. It is not impossible. It is very difficult. But none of that will matter if you dedicate yourself fully to being excellent at what you do & being an excellent person to work alongside.

SpokenVisions is OFFICIALLY back on schedule starting this month. The summer is over, vacation came and left, and now it’s time to get back to work! 7 months into the journey and Spoken visions has much more in store to come for the next couple of months!
Today I’d like to take this time to reintroduce myself, share the direction this blog has taken and the vision I will continue to chase.

Néeshell

Born and raised in Toronto, Néeshell is one of those Canadians who is just simply, creative. Beginning her career in the Toronto showbiz industry as a small screen actor, Néeshell went on to explore the many depts of the entertainment industry at a very young age.

After being enrolled in a high school program that specialized in production and communications, Néeshell landed an internship at Rogers TV for Camera Operation. It was there when the obsession with being behind and in control of the camera came into play. After this, Néeshell undertook photography and is continuing to go forward in the industry while doing so.  As of today, Néeshell is a published photographer, writer, entrepreneur, and is now pursuing a degree in Business Administration. All while managing and working towards her three business ventures: Néeshell Photography, 199Z and Vassell Management Co.

As self explanatory as it could be, Néeshell Photography is her photography company where she works with artists, actors, models and everyday people in portrait, creative, fashion and concert photography.

199Z is a multi-media creative collective celebrating, producing and promoting the individuals, art, culture, entertainment, fashion, music and consumer related products of our beautiful generation, Z.

Vassell Management Co. is Néeshell’s brand management and boutique artist management company that offers marketing, imaging, PR and creative services to artists and businesses, bridging the gap between the “brand” and “consumer”.
